TEPE International Conference on " Quality Teachers and Quality Teacher Education: Research, Policy and Practice”

We are delighted to welcome you at the 12th TEPE International Conference on " Quality Teachers and Quality Teacher Education: Research, Policy and Practice” to be held in Cracow, Poland, 16-18 May 2019.
The theme of the 2019 TEPE conference provokes us to examine the elusive concept of quality teachers and quality (in) teacher education and requires addressing several basic questions such as:
1.What does it take to educate high quality teachers? 2.What can be done to create such systems where every learner can have well-trained, qualified and motivated teachers who promote inclusive and equitable quality education for all? 3.How do working conditions for teachers influence teacher quality? 4.What is high quality in teacher education?
The following sub-themes have been established to explore the general theme of the conference:
Theme 1. Exploring international and European perspectives on quality in education and teacher education and their policy impact Theme2. Reforming teaching and teacher education: towards high quality education for all Theme3. Raising teacher quality: attracting, supporting and preparing a diverse student teacher population Theme4. Strengthening teacher education and teaching profession: conditions for quality teaching and learning Theme5. Developing cultures of sharing and collaboration as a means of supporting teachers’ professional learning and development.
The conference and all the conference social events are free of charge. We look forward to your contribution and participation in TEPE 2019 conference and we hope that the conference will provide stimulating discussions, networking and cooperation.
